Iceland 2019

Favorite Yoga Travel Moment

I led a yoga retreat to Iceland in 2017 and I knew I loved it there, but THIS time was so magical — I decided I could live in Iceland. I still want to someday! My favorite travel memory? Gosh there are so many from this trip. One day comes to mind when we went out with our guide Tyffi in the afternoon (something we didn’t do on our first trip) and decided to hike as the sun set. We drove out to this trail in the middle of nowhere and Tyffi led us down and around, then BOOM — we rounded a corner and saw THIS — an Epic Triple Waterfall. At sunset. This, of course, was one of an infinite list of ‘take-your-breath-away’ nature scenes we witnessed.

Most Unique Experience

This group of people bonded together perfectly. I love every retreat group, but this one was my favorite. So many laughs. So many shared experiences. So many open hearts that really embraced the moments on this journey. I want a reunion tour somewhere stat! This was us on a day we hiked on a glacier. I cried because it was so beautiful. True story.

Most Memorable Moments

This trip was my last retreat before the COVID-19 Pandemic. I find myself constantly dreaming about Iceland and remembering moments from this epic trip in the Fall of 2109. I love how excited this group was about any smidge of the northern lights we witnessed. I was too. It was extremely cold on this night and I’ll never forget our frozen laughter, storytelling, and picture taking.
