Half Yoga Mala Body Prayer & Devotion
Half Yoga Mala Body Prayer & Devotion
Many ancient yogic traditions observe astronomical events such as solstices and equinoxes that honor the cycle of the seasons on Earth. Over time, yogis and cultures of all kinds have also used their bodies to pray, show devotion, and connect to self and source. Often, these two practices naturally come together in communal ceremonies and rituals of significance.
This winter solstice, join me for a special event rooted in the embodied ritual of a half yoga mala (54 sun salutations). Like burning sage, we can ignite our internal flames to cleanse our energy from the inside out. While honoring our bodies, we can fan these flames to release and renew. Together, we’ll also unite in chanting and delve into yogic teachings to expand upon our meditation in motion.
Clear your mind of clutter, free yourself from stagnancy, and spark new light from within to remember who you are and clear the path for who you are becoming. Celebrate and set the tone for the changing of the seasons through purifying practices.
This 2-hour workshop will be offered in person at Peacebank Yoga Studio and online via Zoom. All levels are welcome.
